Easter Weekend- Picnic Dinner

Easter weekend was all about family. This time we celebrated with the Bennett side of the family, which seems to be multiplying rapidly. All of a sudden all of our activities involved 6 adults and 6 kids, 2 of which are babies. It definitely changes the planned activities and events. It was a blast, Chad took a few days off work and we spent lots of time hanging out, went to the Zoo, and spent an afternoon up at City Creek. Also in the middle of all the family-time Easter activities, my sister Riley had foot surgery so we took care of her too. She pretty much spent the weekend on our couch with her feet propped up. At least she got to be with family!!

Getting ready for Easter

Easter eggs are the new, fun toy around our house. I got them out about 2 weeks ago to get ready for Easter and they have been a constant source of entertainment.

Putting them into a basket.
Taking them out of a basket.
Opening them.
Closing them.
Crawling around with one egg in hand.
Crawling around with two eggs in hand.
Throwing eggs.
Putting eggs into various canisters/containers.
Hiding eggs.
Shaking eggs with things inside.
Throwing eggs again.

Like I said, hours of entertainment. Who knew?

Easter is just around the corner!

A Myer Family Visit

Here are some more pictures from the week of Myer family fun. We spent time helping Riley prepare for her mission trip, went to a wedding of a family friend, cooking together in the kitchen, eating out at all the favorite spots, swimming at the hotel pool, and spending lots of time just playing. It's kind of refreshing to be able to just take a few days to enjoy one another's company. We wish they lived closer so we could play a lot more often. Maybe someday.
Dinner at Grandpa Peter's House.
Playing in the backyard with Tasha.

Swimming at the hotel pool. He was starting to feel sick again that day... clearly.
The last night before they had to go home.

Come back soon!

Sunday walking

Last week, we were lucky to spend the whole week with the Myer clan (minus McKenna, the academically-minded one who couldn't miss school). They were in town to attend a wedding of a family friend, but really we know they just wanted to hang out with Ryder man. He's kind of a big deal. They brought the dog and Ryder was officially her #1 fan. He has now completely perfected signing "dog" as well as his attempt at saying it... "da". We were sad when the week was over and they had to go home, but it was awesome while they were here.

bath time fun time

We love bath time at our house, it's one of Ryder's favorite activities. And anything that provides so much fun and entertainment to a one year old is one of Momma's favorite activities.
