Thanksgiving this year was celebrated in Utah again with my family! They were here for the whole week which meant all sorts of shenanigans (as Riley would say it). I love my family and having them up here with us was the perfect way to celebrate Thanksgiving. Here are a couple of things I'm grateful for from the past week:
Sunny days in the wintertime.

Our beautiful shotgun... and hitting a clay pigeon after its been artfully launched into the air by Chad.

Family pictures with the Thorkelsons. And the Thorkelsons in general, they're my favorite.

Sisters! + Riley's face in this picture. Priceless.

The exotically beautiful Tati Thorkelson.

This studly boy.

Headband making shenanigans.

My mom.

Both of these boys... starting fires again.

Glue guns. They facilitate the headband-making shenanigan.

Pie-making with the sisters.

Guilty dog curled up on the couch.

A roaring fire.

Playing catch phrase with the family.

Riley laughing.

Blue skies.
The annual Myer family Thanksgiving Turkey Trot 5k.

Babies all swaddled up.

This green puffy jacket. I think next time my mom is in Utah she is going to secretly sneak the jacket away, burn it, and force my Grandpa to wear the new one she bought for him. I'm pretty sure this puffy green jacket is older than me!

Running races with this boy. I'm so proud... 3 miles, you did it!

Naps.

Hot chocolate grins.

These ladies... you go girls!

Grandpa's beard. He's pretty much the greatest. Plus, you got to love the hat.

The winners!

Babies... all bundled up.

Hunter's expression. Classic.

Thanksgiving Dinner with the Myer clan.

Pie. (or dessert). We had 11 pies and one Bavarian Chocolate cake for the 22 adults and 5 children. We have our priorities in order.

This man. Can I even tell you how much I love him?

This face.

Immediately followed by this face. Riley is the master of facial emotions. She wears them right out on her sleeves, much to the entertainment of all around her.

Budding piano artist. My favorite part was when he momentarily stopped playing, stood up, turned the page of music, and then sat down to continue playing.

Cousins...

... and their families.

Grandpa pulling out a flashlight and teasing the dog with it (Tasha loves shadows and lights and was completely fascinated). This activity kept both occupied for about two hours. The most entertaining part was how funny Grandpa thought it was.

Second cousins. These twins are adorable! Oh and they idolize Luke. He was in heaven.

Grandma and Grandpa.

Tasha. She has taken my place in the Myer home.

Rock band with the Heath cousins. Look at this girl strike a pose.

Rocking out on the guitar.

What can I say, we're a very muscially gifted family?

I'm grateful for my family and can't wait til we get to see them at Christmas time!
Happy Thanksgiving.
