• This kid is still an awesome sleeper... 10-11 hours every night
• Does well with a schedule- likes a good long nap in the afternoon with cat naps in between
• Loves riding in his stroller for runs & walks
• Not a fan of being in his carseat while in the car, unless someone is sitting next to him
• Has a gummy smile that melts my heart
• Loves to be out doing things: walks, errands, visiting Dad at work
• Laughs and giggles like none other
• Snacks on his fingers all day, not the thumb but his index finger and middle finger together
• Loves to be swaddled
• Hates tummy time but we make him do it anyway, doctor's orders
• Has some eczema on his forehead/scalp that comes and goes
• Does NOT tolerate dairy or chocolate which means none for momma
• Receives many many kisses multiple times a day
• Is the apple of his momma and daddy's eye
• Is a champ when it comes to getting his picture taken... but knows how to tell momma when he's done...

Memorial Day Weekend & some overalls

We kicked off our Memorial Day weekend with a good ol' fashioned BBQ with the Saltzmans. Hamburgers, hot dogs, homemade Caesar salad, some chococlate cupcakes, and one cute little Ryder man... what more do you need?

 Then on Sunday morning we got some surprise news that Grandma Bennett was driving up to Utah for the evening. We, of course, decided to throw together some dinner and have a get together with Kimber, Dan, Kenzie, and our new cousins.

On Memorial Day, we had Chad for the morning (he didn't have to be at work until noon) so we met up at Magleby's Fresh for breakfast. I decided that Memorial Day was the perfect day for trying out little man's overalls and sneakers. It was adorable, I couldn't help but kiss on those cheeks all day! Chad called him Farmer John all day.

With all the lovin' he got from Grandma Bennett and all of his girl cousins, Ryder man was pretty wiped out by Monday afternoon. It's a tough job to be so cute!

Burley Baby

We are kind of big bike people. Although mountain biking is one of our favorite things to do together, its not exactly an ideal activity with an infant. Enter Papa Paul... he loves to spoil us shamelessly. Add a grandson to the mix and we've got ourselves in a situation to get showered unconditionally with love and affection. So of course for Christmas this year, Grandpa had to get his new grandson an awesome Burley trailer so he can join our family in our love for biking. He's just barely big enough for it and we had so much fun taking an evening ride down the Provo River Trail. Thank you Grandpa, we love it! Look out for the Burley Baby coming to you this summer!

4 Years

4 years ago today, I married my best friend. It was such a special day, one that I had been waiting and preparing for my entire life. Everyone dreams of a fairytale wedding with the perfect guy and I was beyond ecstatic knowing that I could have the man of my dreams forever. I look back at pictures and marvel at how young we look... even though it was only 4 years ago!

Chad is my other half, my friend, confidant, partner in crime, and now father to our precious little guy. I love him more than anything and can/t wait to spend forever with him.

 And of course we can't forget that little twinkle in our eye... here to celebrate our 4th anniversary with us!

Baby Straight Jacket

Ryder likes to be swaddled when he's sleeping and our blanket of choice is the SwaddleMe blanket, or more affectionately dubbed, the "baby straight jacket". He loves it. I'm pretty sure that Ryder sleeping through the night is directly related to us using the SwaddleMe blanket. This basically means we're huge fans. I love walking in to see this little guy totally zonked out in his perfectly contained bundle. It melts my heart. I love the way he stretches out like a cat after I undo the blanket and then smiles at me like I'm the best thing he's ever seen. Love it.
