2 Week Stats
Who says you can't play dress up with a baby boy?
Here's the stats on our little man from his 2 week appointment last week
Weight: 7 lbs 2 oz (9.6%tile)
Height: 21 in (70.49%tile)
Head Circumference: 14 in (40.03%tile)
Some other quirks/tidbits about Ryder:
- He loves to sleep... pretty much all the time. He does wake up to eat and spends some time being awake during the day, but he sleeps well during the night and takes good naps.
- When he's waking up, he usually will open one eye first and kind of look around before actually waking up and opening both eyes. We call this the "one-eyed Jack".
- He's such a good baby, he doesn't cry much and when he does it is usually for easily fixable things... He's either hungry, needs a diaper change, or is cold, etc.
- We cuddle him at every possible second. Pretty much all the time. He still likes to be all curled up, he pulls his legs in and just snuggles up against you. I love it.
- He loves to be all snuggled up with us in our bed. He'll sleep for at least an extra 30-60 minutes when he's sleeping with one of us.
- He's still pretty much a string bean, but he's starting to fill out a little bit and now actually has a tummy and is starting on a double chin.
Having a newborn pretty much changes everything. Our life will never be the same, but I wouldn't want it any other way. Throughout the day, I just like to stop and look at this sweet baby and wonder how I could get so lucky to get to take care of him. Oh the things I'm starting to learn about being a mother.

Ryder's Biggest Fans: Myer Family Weekend
My family wasn't originally intending to spend President's Day Weekend in Utah, but after little man arrived and my mom came up for a week, the rest of my family decided a road trip was in order. They drove up Friday and spent the next 3 days spending every second with little man. He was kind of a big deal the whole weekend, I swear that kid wasn't put down for even a second in three days. There was always a set of arms wanting to cuddle and love on our little boy.

While they were visiting, we even got a solid snow storm that left everything covered in white. Snow baby!

As things inevitably do when there are boys involved, the walk turned into a snowball fight that provided quality entertainment to outside observers.
Especially Grandpa... he's always a sucker for babies, and this is his first grandbaby. He is in love.

Ryder's Biggest Fans: Bennett Family Weekend
Ryder already has quite a large fan club... both sides of our families are completely in love with this sweet little boy of ours. Two weekends ago was the Bennett family weekend- Chad's mom came up to visit and we spent Sunday night with Kimber, Kenz, and the Probst clan. It was a fun weekend for Ryder to become acquainted with Grandma Bennett and his Aunt Kimber & favorite girl cousin Kenzie.

Sunday night dinner at Kimber's house- it's all about girls at her house... princess dresses, dancing performances, and Pretty Pretty Princess.

Our life has slowed down...
Life has slowed down at our house in the past 2 1/2 weeks. Ryder and I spend a lot of time just hanging out at home. When I'm not feeding him (which feels like all the time), we sleep and cuddle. I've decided I pretty much have the cutest baby I've ever seen. He's beautiful and perfect and completely adorable. I've taken about a billion pictures of him and every time I hold him I want to take a billion more. Here's a few from my phone from the past week...

We're completely obsessed, I know, but how could you not be?

Sunday Snow Storm
Yesterday we had a snow storm... it seems like the first really decent storm we've had all winter. It actually snowed all day which makes for a delightfully cozy Sunday. Chad has been dying to take our new car for a spin in the snow, so we decided to go for a romantic drive up the canyon. Daddy had to show his little boy how the subi handles in the snow. I sure do love these two boys...

We even made our 2 week old get out and feel snow on his face for the first time. He might have cried a little bit, but we're all about character building at our house!
