What's a family trip without an impromptu photo shoot in the canyon, just for fun...

The girls come to visit

Last week my sister McKenna, her friend Rachel, and my Mom all came up to visit Provo. My sister will be living in Provo come fall and attending the BYU Salt Lake Center, so a trip to get all the details ironed out was in order. Although my Mom will take any excuse that presents itself to come and hang out with Ryder man. He is, after all, the first grandchild on my side of the family and therefore spoiled rotten... plus he also happens to be the funniest kid around. We got to spend lots of time with our family, went to visit Salt Lake, ate at all our favorite places, and even had a fun photo shoot in the canyon. I, for some reason, did not get my real camera out until the day before they left, so I have lots of phone pictures... better than nothing!

While in the Gap at City Creek, Ryder invited himself into someone else's dressing room, so we had to pull him back out by his ankles and retreat immediately. Although I thought it was kind of funny, the receiving party of Ryder's shenanigans was not very happy. Oh well.

Ryder has a thing right now. He is absolutely enamored with spatulas. He is also quite fond of pots, pans, tupperware, small appliances, straws, utensils, cups, and plates... but spatulas are his favorite. He walks all over the house holding his spatula using it as something to whack things with, point at objects with, and as his constant companion. I couldn't be more proud. Of all the things he loves to play with, culinary equipment is his toy of choice. That's my boy.

Easter Weekend- Picnic Dinner

Easter weekend was all about family. This time we celebrated with the Bennett side of the family, which seems to be multiplying rapidly. All of a sudden all of our activities involved 6 adults and 6 kids, 2 of which are babies. It definitely changes the planned activities and events. It was a blast, Chad took a few days off work and we spent lots of time hanging out, went to the Zoo, and spent an afternoon up at City Creek. Also in the middle of all the family-time Easter activities, my sister Riley had foot surgery so we took care of her too. She pretty much spent the weekend on our couch with her feet propped up. At least she got to be with family!!
