Chad, the Birthday Boy

At the end of June was Chaddy's birthday. He turned 27, which means he is officially in his "late 20's". Talk about an identity crisis. What a stud, that husband of mine. It was a low-key kind of day, but the perfect celebration of all things Chad. My dad was in town and he took us to Tucano's for birthday dinner. You just really can't beat Tucano's. Plus, they had a wait, which meant we got to hang out at Blickenstaff's beforehand (coolest toy store ever... just ask Ryder... and Chad... and my Dad... it's for all ages). After an entirely meat-themed meal, we headed back home for some Chocolate Bavarian birthday cake with friends. Chocolate makes every birthday better. Thanks Chad for turning 27, it makes for a great day for all!

Family Pictures!!

I know it's been over a month since we actually took our family pictures, but sometimes life just gets away from you. It is summer time, after all, and there are just too many beautiful, sunny days to stay inside for much longer than is necessary. My friend Coryn took these pictures for us, and I absolutely love them. Sometimes it's hard being the person who's always trying to take the pictures, it's rare to actually get some of our family all together. So thanks to the lovely Coryn for taking these for us!

Chaddy runs a marathon

Did you know Chaddy ran a marathon about a week and half ago? It's true. He ran in the Utah Valley Marathon on Saturday, June 8th along with my dad, my Uncle Seth and our good friend Andrew Lamprecht. He finished in 4:47 which makes me one proud wife. I'll be honest, it's been kind of nice for the last week or so that he's no longer in "training for a marathon" mode. It kind of sucks up all your time/energy. Hooray for all who finished!!
