Growing up, we went boating with family friends every other summer. Most of our trips were to Lake Mead which despite the lake is pretty much a desert wasteland. Although the trips are a lot of work (camping on a beach in 105 degree heat), its a blast spending so much time with family... wakeboarding, tubing, swimming to small islands, cliff jumping, lighting fireworks, camping, playing cards... there's always something to do! So when I was in high school, my parents decided it was time to become boat owners and we joined the club.Last week was the first family boating trip of the season and Chad and I were eager to join in on the fun. To say we were anxious about bringing our 5 month old to the lake was an understatement, but Ryder man was such a good sport and was our favorite happy baby most of the trip. Although we had originally planned on camping on the beach, we ended up spending the nights at Chad's mom's house in Las Vegas and then meeting back at the lake first thing in the morning. It was such a fun trip to spend time with our family and the Simmons family- Chad's mom even came out to the lake to hang out with us on one of the days!
