After Gooseberry, we drove to Las Vegas (still all gross from our riding...it was a long drive) for a couple of days. We've been wanting to help Chad's mom re-do her front yard for a while now and had everything planned out. It was a tough job, but super rewarding to see the finished product.
It involved lots of rock shoveling,

cutting tree roots,

grunting while shoveling the heavy rocks,

family time with the nephews (they were good helpers!),

more shoveling,

celebrating Chaddy's birthday with a delicious strawberry cheesecake,

laying bricks for the planter,

digging a sprinkler system,

figuring out the new hookup for the sprinkers,

much use of the wheelbarrow,

and then enjoying the finished product! It looks great!

To celebrate, Chad and I headed down to the strip to see Phantom of the Opera at the Venetian (Chad got me tickets for my birthday). It was amazing.

This is an indoor market area at the Venetian, complete with river and gondolas!

It was great to spend a couple of days hanging out with family and working hard in Vegas.

I know my mom really appreciated your help! And I love how Johnny and Luke are in on all the action :)
