On Friday night, we didn't really have anything to do, but the night was young and we wanted to take advantage of the semi-warm weather. After much contemplation of what there actually was to do in Provo (our choices were severely limited), we decided to join the group of overzealous BYU students honoring their beloved university by embarking on a midnight Y hike. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Provo, UT (not many of you reading my blog), Provo is pretty much centered around the Brigham Young University campus. To prove the fact, there is a HUGE letter "Y" on the side of the mountain which you can actually hike to.
It's quite a fun little hike, although not so little. Even though I've hiked it a couple of times, it always looks much shorter from the parking lot than when you're actually hiking it. It was a beautiful, clear night and an awesome time to sit on the side of a mountain and look at all the lights below. It's kind of cool, we sat down and pointed out landmarks on campus and tried to find the exact little dot that is our home.
